SOMEWHERE OVER THE RAINBOW

R.I.P. DEAREST HUGO - -  June 14 2003 - June 30 2016

Thank you for the wonderful time we had... You will never be forgotten and can never be replaced... You were greatly loved and I know that you knew that. You were one in a million and a legend, in my own mind....

Canada`s 1st Grand Champion Chinese Shar Pei, a Multiple Best in Show winner, a Best Bred By Exhibitor in Show winner,,,,P.E.I.`s top show dog winner, etc etc etc.. but best of all you were my sweet sweet boy. you were always a pleasure to be with and we had many good times...

To coin a phrase... you are with us, but in a different way...

OUR BELOVED SALLY
Sally was just six months and a day when this photo was taken of us at the Atlantic Puppy Awards winning  Best in Show that day.

Sally always amazed us by her natural beauty and mental solidness.  She took everything in stride... always did.  We lost her suddenly to non-familial Cancer.

We thank everyone for their kind words of support.  We are still in shock.  In Sally's memory, David and I will be presenting as special tribute a prize for Best Puppy in the Atlantic Top Dog Awards in October.

Love your dogs with all your heart and soul as they are never with us long enough.   Claude and David

OUR BELOVED MONA

Mona enjoyed her retirement with Kristy and Randy Hambly of PEI.  They took Mona to the horse races during Gold Cup Week.

She stood up and put her paws on the edge of the fence and watched every race from beginning to end.  Many, many, many people stopped and asked where she got Mona.

They asked lots of questions about her and Kristy told them where she came from and that she was a retired champion. There are lots of people out there who just loved her.  Mona just wanted to watch the races, haha.  She loves the horses.

On the left is a lovely photo of Mona with her two pups in front of our restored Job Young House property in Ontario.

Dear Mona is at the Rainbow Bridge now, at 10.5 years of age and is dearly missed.  Thank you Mona for being "just the best." Sadly missed by Claude, David, Kristy and Randy and all her friends.

OUR BELOVED ODETTA

A California girl, Odetta was bred by Bobbie Coughlin.

Due to an injury as a pup rough housing, she was not shown but produced a lovely litter with our main man, Hugo.

She had an outstanding pedigree being sired by Am Ch Tuj's Ace of Spades OFAG - 2005 AWARD OF MERIT WINNER  out of Am Ch R-Lee Xena Warrior of KDK  OFAG, 2005 CHINESE CLUB OF AMERICA BISS WINNER

Her son Ambrose finished his Championship very quickly and is much loved companion ...

One of her favourite things to do was to watch for David returning from work each evening...and the joy of his arrival home.

Odetta held so much promise and we mourn her loss to ourselves, her breeder and to what she may have contributed to the Breed.

Rest well dear girl.
